Case Study: Digital Graduation Catalogue
Client: University Graduation Showcase Team
Role: Digital Design Coordinator
Project: Digital Catalogue for Graduating Students
During my graduation project, I was entrusted with creating a digital version of the university’s annual graduation catalogue within a short time frame—less than three months. The goal was to deliver an interactive, user-friendly, and downloadable catalogue that would be accessible to a wide audience.
I chose Adobe InDesign as the design tool, enabling me to seamlessly integrate multimedia elements like images and videos while creating clickable links for easy navigation. Each student’s profile featured custom portraits I photographed, showcasing their personalities beyond traditional headshots. I designed unique layouts for each student to further highlight their individuality.
Key features included:
Interactive profiles: Clickable links to students' social media, portfolio websites, and showcase locations.
Home page navigation: A central homepage for easy access to the full list of graduates.
Downloadable file: The entire catalogue was downloadable, allowing users to keep it for a lifetime, preserving the graduates' work.
Cross-platform promotion: The project was also shared on Instagram, featuring individual student portraits and their work to extend the reach and visibility.
The final product was a personalized, interactive catalogue that allowed users to download and keep a lasting memory of the graduating class while also making their work more accessible online. The project was delivered on time and exceeded client expectations.
